The Central Coast Dahlia Society Scholarship supports up to two deserving Cal Poly undergraduate students with $1,000 awards each year. The program aims to encourage interest and excellence in floriculture and related fields. Eligible applicants must be full-time juniors or seniors at Cal Poly, maintain satisfactory academic progress with a minimum college GPA of 2.75, and have a major or minor in Horticulture, Plant Science, Agribusiness, or Agricultural Education.
Recipients are selected by the Central Coast Dahlia Society Scholarship Committee based on a weighted evaluation: work experience (30%), future goals (30%), letters of recommendation (15%), volunteer and club activities (15%), and GPA (10%). Application timeline: Submit your completed application by April 15. Recipients will be notified by May 1, and scholarships are presented in person at the Society’s May meeting, held on the third Tuesday of the month.
